So, what happened to everybody on Voice Chat? There was always a crowd toward the end of 2012. I haven't been able to log in there for a while but the past few times I've looked, nobody has been on. Didd I miss something?
I hate to say this and bring up a sad memory, but I think Kevin's death back in March I believe it was has affected it. He was there a lot, and a lot of people signed on to ttalk to him.
In regards to this site in general, a lot of other people who used to spend a lot of time here have also dropped off recently. In general I just think people are spending more time on FaceBook and other social media sites and that ZoneBBS is becoming less and less popular. I remember A time, and I've been here for more than 9 years now, when I rarely logged on and saw less than 50 people logged on. Now I often see a dozen or fewer.
Ah, yeah, I can definitely see how his passing would have affected that aspect of things.
Condolences to those who knew him well and sorry if this brought up stuff that makes anyone sad.
People are also just living there lives and may have forgotten about this place. It's funny how things come and go.
yeah, I think the dying site also has something to do with it.
wow, the good days... 2007-2009-2010 I think. crazy how lots of people we knew rarely come on these days. I remember back when zbp was popular, at least 20 and up users on the site at any given time, memories long gone
Even though the Zone isn't as popular as it used to be,
There are still, at times, 20 plus users logged on. It just depends when you decide to enter is all. Whoever programmed such a chat system is genius though. It's amazingly simple to use, and in myopinion, better than Facebook. Plus, there are hundreds of message boards related to blindness which are a lot more in depth than other sites.
As far as voice chat is concerned, that is rarely used anymore.
